UES Pet Concierges

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we hear most. If yours isn't here, write to us. A real person answers.

Do you ever walk dogs in packs?

Never. Every walk is your dog only, with our full attention. Dogs from the same household can walk together for $20 per additional dog.

Can you administer medication?

Yes. Our team includes a licensed veterinary technician with 26 years of experience, and we regularly care for pets with medication schedules, post-surgical needs, and senior care requirements.

What kinds of animals do you care for?

Dogs, cats, and exotics, including birds, reptiles, and small mammals. Our concierges cared for all of these professionally at the Animal Care Centers of NYC, and our team includes a licensed wildlife rehabilitator.

What is a meet & greet?

A $30 introductory session before service begins, so your pet meets their concierge on their own terms, in their own home, with you present. We recommend one before the first walk or sit.

What are the founder, senior, and associate concierge levels?

Every concierge comes from professional animal care. The founder level books your service directly with our founder, a published canine behavior researcher with over 15 years of experience. Senior concierges are our most experienced team members, including our licensed veterinary technician and behavior specialists. Associate concierges give the same one-pet-at-a-time care at a lower rate. Walks and pet sitting are offered at all three levels, and we match you at your free consultation.

Do you work with reactive or anxious dogs?

Yes, it's one of our specialties. Our concierges include former Canine Behavior Specialists, and practical behavioral guidance is part of every walk at no extra charge.

What neighborhoods do you serve?

We serve the Upper East Side: Yorkville, Lenox Hill, and Carnegie Hill. Pet sitting and walking take place in the city; for the Hamptons we offer transport only.

How does Hamptons transport work?

A private, door-to-door ride between Manhattan and the Hamptons with a comfort break en route, for cats and dogs up to 80 pounds. One-way rates run from $275 (Westhampton/Quogue) to $335 (Amagansett).

Where does overnight pet sitting happen?

In your home, so your pet keeps their usual routine. For dogs, overnights are walk fees plus $80 a night with an associate concierge, $100 with a senior concierge, or $120 with our founder. For cats, overnights are $100, $125, or $150 a night, with play time included. Overnight fees are doubled for major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, etc.).

How do you handle my keys?

Securely. Keys are stored in a lockbox, and access is limited to the concierge assigned to your home.

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes. UES Pet Concierges carries general liability insurance and Care, Custody & Control (CCC) coverage, which covers your pet while they are in our care. Our concierges are bonded, and our team is covered by workers' compensation insurance.
